Writing
During writing we ignite our schema while brainstorming...the first part of the writing process. Next, we write our first draft, except kindergartners....we focus on the topic and just write our little hearts out! After this, we READ what we wrote to see if it makes sense. We may need to revise. Then we EDIT with Mr. COPS. We love Mr. COPS because he makes editing fun. He will kiss your brain or give you a high five for all the great things he sees. He will give you a cop-bop for anything that breaks the rules. Finally, we publish and share. |

Moving toward Grade I Writing:
Learning to Elaborate...
Touchstone Texts![]() I'm not going to share thousands of lesson plans because there are other sites, like the fabulous Mrs. Meacham that can give you excellence in this area. I'll share some tidbits that people suggest I share along the way. Here are some touchstone texts that I feel are effective for early childhood learners.
You can download all the text outlines. |
